broadside view of the VIZACAYA shows
the extensive damage to her. Notably, this view shows the
tremendous damage to the bow which finally put her out of
action. Apparently, a shell (probably from
BROOKLYN) coincidentally hit a torpedo
in the VIZCAYA's bow torpedo tube. The resulting tremendous
explosion blew out the VIZCAYA's bow, ending her career.
