This image is of the INDIANA
shows her forward 13 inch gun turret, her port eight inch gun turret,
and her military mast with its fighting top. The supports for
shade-giving awnings are seen extending forward from the 13 inch gun
turret. Also notable is the fine woodwork of the pilot house, and the
unusual overhead open bridge. In the forground is the anchor chain which
enters into the vessel to be raised by the windlass and stored in chain
lockers.
