This is a view of the Ward Line steamship HAVANA
passing Morro Castle at the entrance to Havana Harbor. Aboard her are the
6th Missouri Volunteer Infantry and the 49th
Iowa Volunteer Infantry on April 9, 1899. The troops had been
serving as part of the American occupation force in Cuba.
This is a view of the officers of the 6th
Missouri, taken aboard the HAVANA. In the center, holding his hat,
appears to be Col. Letcher Hardeman.
