repatriated to the United States.
General:
The following data is taken from a work entitled The Martial
Graves of our Fallen Heroes in Santiago de Cuba by Henry C.
McCook. The work listed the Americans (soldiers and sailors) who had
died and were buried in Cuba, by burial location. These bodies were
subsequently disinterred and the remains were returned to the U.S. for
reburial. Some of the remains were laimed by families. Those the were
not claimed were buried at Arlington National Cemetery. We address the repatriation process of these bodies
elsewhere on the site. This provides the names and the
temporary burial locations in Cuba.
The Data:
The location is given, and
the list of soldiers buried there is listed.
